The HIDING of God
Why is God HIDING from us? Because we asked Him to!
Ex 20:19-21
19 Then they said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die.” 20 Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin.” 21 So the people stood at a distance, while Moses approached the thick cloud where God was.Deut 5:22-27
22 “These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly at the mountain from the midst of the fire, of the cloud and of the thick gloom, with a great voice, and He added no more. He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me. 23 “And when you heard the voice from the midst of the darkness, while the mountain was burning with fire, you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders. 24 “You said, ‘Behold, the LORD our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire; we have seen today that God speaks with man, yet he lives. 25 ‘Now then why should we die? For this great fire will consume us; if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any longer, then we will die. 26 ‘For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived? 27 ‘Go near and hear all that the LORD our God says; then speak to us all that the LORD our God speaks to you, and we will hear and do it.’
The fear of God’s reality is what man-kind is afraid of!
Man-kind cannot cope with the consequences of a Creator actually being REAL, and so close at hand!
They responded just like Adam and Eve did after they had sinned.
They hid because of their “nakedness” – their existential, spiritual and physical inferiority and vulnerability.
And The HIDING continues today.
The main mechanism behind The HIDING today is the heliocentric “globe” model of reality.
This makes man-kind more comfortable because then God is far off, or doesn’t even exist.
The geocentric “flat earth” model of reality is strongly rejected because then God is very close, and living just above a dome that He created in Genesis as the “expanse” or “firmament” that encloses the entire earth.
Gen 1:6-8
6 Then God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. 8 God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.Gen 1:6-8 (KJV)
6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Read “The Shaking” and “The ECLIPSE” articles, and then analyze your own reaction to being confronted with actual proof that the firmament dome exists. Does it trigger fear or awe, hatred or love?
The HIDING is a very real and powerful coping mechanism for man-kind, enabling us to become god in our own reality and to escape the fear of ever being punished for anything we do.
But there is another reason God is hiding Himself from the descendants of the nation He personally spoke with at Mount Sinai.
Deut 31:16-18
16 The LORD said to Moses, “Behold, you are about to lie down with your fathers; and this people will arise and play the harlot with the strange gods of the land, into the midst of which they are going, and will forsake Me and break My covenant which I have made with them. 17 “Then My anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide My face from them, and they will be consumed, and many evils and troubles will come upon them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Is it not because our God is not among us that these evils have come upon us?’ 18 “But I will surely hide My face in that day because of all the evil which they will do, for they will turn to other gods.
However, The HIDING will soon end when HOLYDAY 2 occurs!
Isa 54:7-8
7 “For a brief moment I forsook you, But with great compassion I will gather you. 8 “In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, But with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you,” Says the LORD your Redeemer.Isa 52:9-10
9 Break forth, shout joyfully together, You waste places of Jerusalem; For the LORD has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem. 10 The LORD has bared His holy arm In the sight of all the nations, That all the ends of the earth may see The salvation of our God.
